Ganesh Chaturthi 2025: Recite This Powerful Stotra to Overcome Financial Problems

Ganesh Chaturthi 2025 will be celebrated on 27 August, according to the Vedic calendar. On this day, devotees worship Lord Ganesha with special prayers and offerings like modaks, fruits, and other sacred items. It is believed that praying to Lord Ganesha helps complete unfinished tasks and brings success. This year, priests and scriptures suggest reciting the Rinmukti Ganesh Stotra (Debt-Free Ganesha Hymn) during the puja, as it is said to remove financial troubles and bring prosperity.

(Hymn for Release from Debts to Lord Ganesha)

Verse 1

ॐ स्मरामि देवदेवेशं वक्रतुण्डं महाबलम्।

षडक्षरं कृपासिन्धुं नमामि ऋणमुक्तये॥

Meaning:

I remember the Lord of Lords, Ganesha, the curved-trunk, the mighty one.

I bow to Him, the ocean of compassion, to be freed from debts.

Verse 2

महागणपतिं वन्दे महासेतुं महाबलम्।

एकमेवाद्वितीयं तु नमामि ऋणमुक्तये॥

Meaning:

I salute the great Lord Ganesha, the mighty bridge of strength.

The One without a second — I bow to Him for freedom from debts.

Verse 3

एकाक्षरं त्वेकदन्तं एकं ब्रह्म सनातनम्।

महाविघ्नहरं देवं नमामि ऋणमुक्तये॥

Meaning:

I bow to the one-syllabled, single-tusked Lord, the eternal Brahman,

the great remover of obstacles — for liberation from debts.

Verse 4

शुक्लाम्बरं शुक्लवर्णं शुक्लगन्धानुलेपनम्।

सर्वशुक्लमयं देवं नमामि ऋणमुक्तये॥

Meaning:

Clad in white garments, shining with a fair complexion, adorned with white sandal paste,

the Lord full of purity — I bow to Him to be freed from debts.

Verse 5

रक्ताम्बरं रक्तवर्णं रक्तगन्धानुलेपनम्।

रक्तपुष्पैः पूज्यमानं नमामि ऋणमुक्तये॥

Meaning:

Wearing red clothes, with a reddish complexion, smeared with red sandalwood paste,

worshipped with red flowers — I bow to Him to be freed from debts.

Verse 6

कृष्णाम्बरं कृष्णवर्णं कृष्णगन्धानुलेपनम्।

कृष्णयज्ञोपवीतं च नमामि ऋणमुक्तये॥

Meaning:

Dressed in black, of dark complexion, anointed with black sandalwood paste,

and wearing a sacred thread — I bow to Him to be freed from debts.

Verse 7

पीताम्बरं पीतवर्णं पीतगन्धानुलेपनम्।

पीतपुष्पैः पूज्यमानं नमामि ऋणमुक्तये॥

Meaning:

Clothed in yellow garments, with a golden-yellow glow, adorned with yellow sandal paste,

and worshipped with yellow flowers — I bow to Him to be freed from debts.

Verse 8

सर्वात्मकं सर्ववर्णं सर्वगन्धानुलेपनम्।

सर्वपुष्पैः पूज्यमानं नमामि ऋणमुक्तये॥

Meaning:

The soul of all, present in all colours, adorned with all kinds of sandal paste,

worshipped with every flower — I bow to Him to be freed from debts.

Conclusion:

एतद् ऋणहरं स्तोत्रं त्रिसन्ध्यं यः पठेन्नरः।

षण्मासाभ्यन्तरे तस्य ऋणच्छेदो न संशयः॥

सहस्रदशकं कृत्वा ऋणमुक्तो धनी भवेत्॥

Meaning:

Whoever recites this debt-removing stotra three times a day,

will be freed from debts within six months, without doubt.

By reciting it a thousand times, one becomes debt-free and prosperous.
